About Pillarbox Media

PillarBox Media was formed by filmmaker and producer Paul Atkinson in 2001, Paul and his team have developed and produced a wide range of promotional video for North-East businesses and delivered multi-camera coverage for conferences and live events around the region; he also works as a freelance trainer, delivering courses, consultancy and team building sessions with a 'filmmaking theme' throughout the UK.

Paul joined North-East England based Tyne Tees Television in the mid 1980s to work as a casual on programs such as The Tube, Razzmatazz and TX45; He then went on to work in Live Stage throughout mainland Europe on live tours, video shoots, recording and promotional events.

With a small but specialised team including Marc Sheriff (Director of 'Evolution Freeride 2.2' and Qashqai Challenge) and Ashley Kent (Cameraman and Mac Specialist) we focus on the production of video for businesses; but we also have a close connection to The Arts and Music within the North East of England and produce films that promote our regional heritage.

Our stock kit is Sony HVR-Z1 and PMW-EX1, but we can hire in anything up to Sony PDW-F350L for more specialist applications.

In our Creative Suite, we can take your project through the full post production process.
